Chapter 1,009: "Hell (Naraku)"

Luffy appears on the cover of Weekly Shonen Jump #18, holding his hat while sakura petals fly around him.

In the Color Spread, the Straw Hat pirates are playing in the snow with Otama, Komachiyo and Bunbuku (the kettle that ate Inu Inu no Mi model Tanuki).

The fire is still spreading inside Onigashima castle. The Red Scabbards run into Orochi and Fukurokuju on the way, both are shocked.

Fukurokuju: "Orochi-sama, they don't know that you've already died once.
Please run and let me handle the Red Scabbards."

Orochi says he can't since inside the castle is filled with enemies. Besides the Red Scabbards are heavily injured, so Orochi thinks he can take them on. Orochi then mocks the Red Scabbards about Kanjuurou, saying that he's also fooled by Kyoshiro so it's even now. Orochi then transforms into his Yamata no Orochi form and attacks.

In an epic double spread, the Red Scabbards cut all of Orochi's head at once. Kinemon says they have no time to waste with him (he's implying that Orochi is not dead yet?) so they will leave his judgement to hell. The Red Scabbards continues on but Raizou stays to fight Fukurokuju.

Raizou: "I have misjudged you. I didn't expect you to fight for such a fool to the very end."

Fukurokuju: "I could say the same about you. It is fate that we will have to fight each other at last, Raizou!"

Cut to Onigashima rooftop. Kid asks Law why he can't just transport one of the Yonkou somewhere else. Law replies that he'd do that long ago if he can, but their Haki is too strong so he can't move them anywhere.

Big Mom suggests to Kaidou that they attack together and finish all Supernovas in one blow.

Kaidou: "I hope your legs and hip are still good enough, old hag!!"

Big Mom: "Who do you think you are talking to, boy!!"

Big Mom and Kaidou: "Hakai (覇海 Conquering the Sea)!!!"

Big Mom and Kaidou use a massive combined attack, they swing their weapons at the same time and send massive wave at the Supernova which is too fast for any of them to dodge. However, Zoro blocks the attack with his swords.

Zoro: "Get out of the way or we will all die!!"

Big Mom and Kaidou attack destroys part of the island. Law transports Zoro out in time so he survives but is heavily injured. Kid thanks Zoro for managing to slow down the attack even if he managed to do it for 1 second.

Luffy immediately jumps again and uses "Gomu Gomu no Red Hawk" at Kaidou, but Kaidou dodges it before Luffy can complete the attack. Luffy smiles.

Luffy: "So you have to dodge it because this can actually hurt you, right?"

Kaidou hits Luffy with his Kanabo. Luffy is thrown away but he manages to block the Kanabo with haki-cladded arms. His arms hurt but Luffy os still fine. Kaidou follows up by shooting a beam from his mouth at Luffy that dodges it. Then Kaidou jumps up and uses "Kouzanze Ragunaraku" (降三世 引奈落 Three-world Ragnarok) an attack where he spins his Kanabo around with a lot of black thunder coming out before striking down on Luffy.

Back to Big Mom Vs. the other Supernova. Kid creates a metal box then tells Law he is ready. Law then uses "Chambres" to transport Zeus into the box.

Killer and Zoro (that is still coughing up blood) then attack together. Zoro uses “Homurasaki” to slice up Prometheus while Killer attacks Napoleon, separating both of them from Big Mom.

Kid then uses “Punk Pistols” to shoot multiple metal arrows at Big Mom.

Big Mom: "Do you think you can win just by separating them from me?"

The arrows don’t work on Big Mom at all. She then punches Kid down to the ground. Kid takes Big Mom punch in full but he then grabs her arm and uses “Repel”, bouncing Big Mom’s body up into the air. Law then uses “Takt” to throw a huge rock at Big Mom.

Big Mom: “Why do you still think these rocks can work against me?”

Then Big Mom realizes that the rock has pushed her off the edge of Onigashima, and below her is only the sea. Big Mom then summons Zeus to help her, but Zeus is still trapped in Kid’s box.

Law: "If we manage to stop them from helping her, then there’s one player off the stage!"

Big Mom starts to fall into the sea...

Chapter 1,010: "Conquerors"

On the cover, Pudding and some homies (including Nitro and Rabian) put eye drops in their eyes.

The chapter begins where the previous one ended, with Big Mom falling into the sea and further away from Onigahsima. Zeus still unable to get out of Kid's metal box, Zoro keeps cutting Prometheus into pieces so he can't help Big Mom. Zoro continues to bleed from his mouth, he is very fatigued. Law says he's crazy and that it wouldn't surprise him if all the bones in Zoro's body were already broken.

Kaidou watches the scene. Next to him we see Luffy on the ground, defeated with his eyes rolled.

Kaidou: "Damn that pathetic Linlin. Now I'll have to help her too ... !!"

Kaidou goes after Zoro (whom he calls a "pirate hunter") and orders him to release Prometheus so he can go help Big Mom. Zoro is shocked at Kaidou's attack, but just before it reaches him, he disappears. Law exchanges his position with Zoro and throws his "Injection Shot" at Kaidou that hits the Yonkou's neck.

Kaidou gathers himself and attacks Law with his kanabou. Law uses a new technique called "Curtain" (Curtain - 抗菌 武装 (カ ー テ ン)) to defend himself but it is of little use since Kaidou sends him flying with one blow.

Kaidou: "Your ability is very troublesome, Trafalgar !!"

Prometheus and Napoleon take the opportunity to go help Big Mom. Zoro reproaches Law for helping him,

Law: "Let them go. If someone had to die because of my plan, I'd rather my plan failed."

Kid says that for now it is enough, since the objective was to separate the 2 Yonkou and they have succeeded. Kid and Killer run towards the direction they sent Big Mom flying, they will be in charge of keeping her at bay. Behind Kid we see a very long line of metals of all kinds that he is dragging.
We go to the area below the island. Prometheus has managed to save Big Mom just before she fell into the sea. Big Mom congratulates Prometheus on his work while complaining about how useless Zeus is. Prometheus says that Zeus has always been slow, stupid, and a burden to Big Mom.

Prometheus: "Mama, I have a request."

Big Mom: "Huh?"

We return to Onigashima. Kid and Killer have reached the edge of the island. Kid watches the sky.

Kid: "Something strange is happening in the clouds ..."

We return to the roof of Onigashima. Luffy is still unconscious with his eyes rolling, Kaidou laughs and says it's like last time. Even after losing consciousness, Luffy can't stop staring at him. He then wonders what he should tear apart from Luffy first, his eyes, his brain, or his heart.

Zoro tells Law that the next attack he's going to use should be the last thing he's capable of in his state. If the attack doesn't work, Zoro is going to be killed by Kaidou, so he leaves the rest to Law.

Zoro: "Hey !! Kaidou !!
That guy is our captain.
If you want to destroy him ... Then destroy me first !!"

Zoro draws his swords, Kaidou realizes that he is going to attack him and raises his kanabou to do it first.

Zoro: "Kiki Kyuutouryuu: Ashura (Nine Sword Style Demon Spirit: Asura)
Bakkei Mouja no Tawamure (Drawn Sword, Playing with Death - 抜 剣 亡者 戯) !!!"

This new version of Zoro's Asura manages to damage Kaidou, who spits a lot of blood from his mouth. However Kaidou is still standing and talking to Zoro.
Kaidou: "Brat ... Don't tell me that you also have 'Conquerors haki' ... !!?"

Zoro: "huh ...? What the hell are you talking about ... !!
I have no idea myself ... !!
I used everything I had in this attack ... What a pity that I could not defeat him !! "

Zoro falls to the ground completely exhausted.

Kaidou is about to finish Zoro with his kanabou. Law launches to defend Zoro but Kaidou attacks both with his "Raimei Hakke" (Thunder of the Eight Trigrams) and leaves them very wounded.

Suddenly, Kaidou hears Luffy's voice behind him.

We see a small flashback of the moment in which Hyougorou explains to Luffy that not only must he force his "Haki" to come out, he must let it flow in his blows and reach the interior of his enemies.

Kaidou ducks a bit from the pain of the blow, but Luffy isn't done yet. Luffy jumps from his position and throws a hook to the chin at Kaidou, again without touching him and with black rays coming out of his fist (it is the image that the Korean filter drew). Kaidou falls backwards to the ground after this last blow.

Law: "They haven't even touched ... !!"

Luffy: "Zoro, Torao ... Thank you for protecting me until now.
You two can go back downstairs now.
Tell the rest ... that no matter what happens, I will win !!! "

Chapter 1,011: "The moral code of red bean paste."

On the cover Color Spread the Straw Hat band enjoy some ice cream. In the background we have a giant Nami eating a giant ice cream. The rest of the band, in their normal size, enjoy ice cream and play with food (Luffy is on a giant straw, Franky eats a chocolate ice cream (his hair is the shape of ice cream), Zoro and Sanji place some waffles, Chopper and Brook are sitting in a glass and Robin, Jinbe and Usopp are bathing in a glass of juice).

The chapter begins on the edge of Onigashima, with Kid and Killer watching Big Mom fly up in the distance. Big Mom prepares an electric attack thanks to the new Homie she has created. It is a female Homie whom she has named "Hera" and, unlike Zeus, it seems that it is made up of only lightning bolts and lightning bolts (it is not a cloud).

Kid and Killer leave the area when they see that Big Mom is about to attack. To test Hera's power, Big Mom uses a new attack called "Fulgora" (Tremor and Thunder - 震 御 雷) with which she launches a gigantic beam that collides with the side of the castle. The impact is enormous, it seems that Kid and Killer have not been able to escape in time.

We went to the 3rd floor of Onigashima Castle. Big Mom's attack has created a giant hole in the side of Onigashima Castle, between the 2nd and 3rd floors more or less. Kid and Killer have ended up on the 3rd floor because of Big Mom's attack, although since the hole is so big, it seems that she is on a different floor.

Kid and Killer run to find her to stop her before she reunites with Kaidou. As they run downstairs, a group of Kaidou's subordinates go after them. But Hawkins overtakes them and attacks Kid with his "Warabide Tou" (Hand Sword Provided with Straw). Kid manages to dodge the attack and Hawkins stands before them.

Kid tells Hawkins that he is a traitor, he replies that he has also been betrayed by Apoo but that he prefers not to start a fight that he will not be able to win. Killer tells Kid that he will stay fighting Hawkins and that he is going to stop Big Mom, since they cannot allow her to run free around there. Kid leaves chased by several of Kaidou's subordinates.

Hawkins transforms into a huge voodoo doll.

Hawkins: "Your chances of dying are 92%."

Killer: "I believe in my abilities, not predictions."

Hawkins: "Then I'll pray for your good fortune, Killer."

Killer: "Go to hell. I'm not going to pray for any fortune for you !!"

We went to the 2nd floor of Onigashima Castle, to Usopp and Nami's group. Page One has grabbed onto Komachiyo's tail as he keeps running. Usopp and Nami attack Page One in different parts of the body (eyes, nose, walnut ...) to try to get it loose, but the attacks have no effect.
Tama asks Komachiyo (who is very tired) to hold out a little longer until he reaches the Castle's Live Floor. Once they get there, Tama will give a general order to all the Gifters in the castle. This way she will have finished her duty in battle and she will no longer care what happens to her afterward. As Tama says all this, she trembles with fear.

Hearing her, Usopp and Nami feel guilty that they can't make Tama feel safe. Usopp uses a new attack called "Hanabi Bana" (Pyrotechnic Flowers) with which some flowers stick to Page One's body and then explode. In this way he manages to release Komachiyo and fall to the ground. Then he launches another new attack called "Baku Bokkuri" (Exploding Pineapple) with which he throws some pinecones around Page One that explode with great power.

However, Page One gets up without much trouble. Usopp is shocked to see how tough Page One is, and regrets that Tama's Kibi Dango only work on SMILES users.

Suddenly, Big Mom appears next to them coming out from behind some houses (the cartoon reflects very well how big she is compared to the rest). Usopp and Nami scream in fear, Tama is surprised but calm.

Usopp and Nami: "Ahhhhh !!! Big Mom !!!?"

Tama: "Huh?"

Big Mom turns furious and, remembering Usopp and Nami, is about to attack them. But Tama interrupts her.

Tama: "Olin-chan !!"

Big Mom changes her expression to a friendlier one when she sees Tama, and talks to her amicably. Prometheus is upset to see that Big Mom has entered her "Mother Mode", a kind demeanor that she sometimes displays with children under the age of 10.

Big Mom: "Oh, it's you Otama! What happened? Why are you in such a dangerous place like this?"

Tama: "I was worried about you !! Last time I saw you you were being taken away from Udon.
Big Mom thanks Tama for taking care of her while she lost her memory. She still remembers how Tama took her to the Okobore Ward and gifted her with oshiruko despite being so poor.

Tama is sad to hear her and breaks down in tears. He tells Big Mom that the Okobore Ward no longer exists because of Kaidou's subordinates. They thought that the people of the Okobore Ward were helping the samurai and burned the whole place. Big Mom remembers the kindness of the Okobore people, how kind Tsuru was to her ... and flies into a rage.

Big Mom: "Damn Kaidou's subordinates !! How dare you destroy that city that was so kind to me !!?"

As they were talking, Page One has caught up with them again and yells at Big Mom to help him stop them from escaping. Page One, completely transformed into a Spinosaurus, rushes after them ready to bite Usopp, Nami and Tama.

Big Mom: "You know ...? No matter how evil a pirate is ...
In our world there is a moral code ... !! "

Big Mom stretches her left arm, from which black rays come out. She then stands in front of Page One and punches him using her Conquerors Haki ( that is, she doesn't touch him.) Page One bleeds from the mouth and Big Mom smashes him to the ground.

Kid hears the screams of Kaidou's subordinates talking about Big Mom. Zeus arrives on the scene. In the last panel of the chapter we see Ulti, she's shocked and shaking when she sees how Big Mom has hit Page One.

Ulti: "Brother ..."

Chapter 1,012: "Itching".

In the cover, Kid is creating a metal bird while a family of little birds is making a nest on his head.

Chapter starts with the Red Scabbards on the 3rd floor, they are running to help Momonosuke. Izou asks Kiku whether her arm is OK. Kiku replies that for a samurai this wound just feels like an itch. Then she mentions that her heart also itched a bit the day Izou suddenly left Wanokuni. Izou apoligizes to Kiku for suddenly leaving her behind.

Kawamatsu asks Izou what he think will become of Wanokuni once they open the country to the world. Izou says they can talk about that once they survive until morning.

Kinemon says they are outnumber on all fronts, so they should split up and go help everyone. Kinemon will go save Momonosuke alone. Kiku asks to be the one to finish Kanjuurou once and for all. Kinemon allows it and tells her to come with him. The rest of the Red Scabbards split up and go different ways.

Nekomamushi runs into Shishilian and Bariete (the monkey Mink). He then learns that Pedro is dead (remember Nekomamushi arrived to Wanokuni at the beginning of he battle) and the killer is also near on this island, currently fighting Carrot and Wanda. After knowing that, Nekomamushi jumps ahead of the others.

Cut to Yamato, Momonosuke and Shinobu, they are in the attic. Yamato says they shouldn't stay together since the “Marys” will spot them. So Yamato created a cute looking (but obviously fake) Momonosuke dummy and she will take it with her and act as decoy. But Momonosuke and Shinobu looks at Yamato and can tell that she's obviously "itching" to fight.

Before leaving, Yamato asks Momonosuke how is Luffy. Momonosuke says Luffy is still doing fine but the "voices" up there are down to just to 2 people.

Yamato: "So it has turned into 1 on 1 fight... I must hurry!!"

After Yamato leaves, Momonosuke opens Oden's journal...

Cut to Sanji, he's on the 2nd floor. He's running to help Momonosuke and fighting Kaidou's men while he's carrying a huge cross on his back. That cross is Zoro, that is heavily injured. A little flashback starts. Law, Zoro and Zeus appeared above Sanji and Sanji had to carry Law and Zoro. Sanji asked Zeus for Nami, but Zeus got scared and flied away.

Law heard Big Mom so he said he's going to follow her. Then he told Sanji that Zoro broke about 20-30 bones in his body, so Sanji should treat his wounds first. Sanji tied Zoro to pieces of woods and put so many bandages on him that Zoro looks like a huge cross.

Sanji: "Who the hell made you this injured!?"

Zoro: "Kaido and Big Mom."

Sanji: "OK, that's understandable. How's Luffy?"

Zoro: "It seems he's understood something. He will surely win!!"

Sanji: "No need to tell me. I already know!!"

Back to the present, Zoro is sleeping while Sanji is complaining and fighting Kaidou's men. Sanji then runs into Kawamatsu and Izou. They tell him Kinemon is already going to save Momonosuke so Sanji doesn't need to go there. Zoro suddenly wakes up and tells them that they should go to help people at the “Live Floor”, then he goes back to sleep again.

Cut back to Big Mom. Page One has his head stuck into the floor, it seems he's heavily injured. Ulti runs toward Big Mom in rage. Nami says to Big Mom that Ulti is the one behind whatevers making Big Mom angry.

Big Mom: "Shut up!
After I've finished with these guys, I'll deal with you "Straw Hats" later!!"

Nami then tries to side with Ulti instead.

Nami: "Ulti-chan!! Let's take down Big Mom together!!"

Ulti: "Shut up!
After I'm finished with Big Mom, you guys are next!!"

Ulti then jumps at them and uses her "Ulti-Mortar" to knock down Komachiyo. She then slaps Tama. Big Mom is enraged and steps in front of Ulti.

Big Mom: "How dare you hurt my friend!?"

Ulti: "How dare you hurt my brother!?"

But suddenly, Nami jumps at Ulti and hits her with a thunderbolt, knocking Ulti to the ground.

Usopp: "Hey, wait Nami! Aren't we running away!?"

Nami: "I can't anymore... after what she's done to a kid...
I'm gonna crush this woman here!!!"

Chapter 1.013: "Anarchy In The Big Mom".
- Ulti recovers from Nami's attack.
- Nami uses the "Tornado Tempo" against Ulti, who dodges it and prepares to defeat Nami.
- Big Mom uses a combined attack from Napoleon, Prometheus, and Hera to attack Ulti, who is KO'd.

Chapter 1,013: "Anarchy In The BM” (BM is for Big Mom, the name appears in katakana).

In the cover, Sanji (with a knife in his left hand) is about to fight with a shark that looks like Zoro (it holds 3 swords and wears a haramaki) while Zoro is sleeping in the sofa. The shark is in the Thousand Sunny's tank.

Chapter starts where the last one ended. Usopp tells Nami there's no chance of winning against Ulti and Big Mom but Nami refuses to run away since she can't forgive Ulti. Ulti recovers from Nami attack and goes for her. Nami attacks Ulti with "Tornado=Tempo" but Ulti avoids the attack and grabs Nami. She is about to crush Nami with a headbutt.

Big Mom assembles Hera, Prometheus and Napoleon into a canon-like weapon (based in this Godzilla's films weapon) and shoots a new attack called "Maser Cannon" (鳴光砲 - Roaring Light Gun) a powerful beam that goes right through Ulti's stomach. Ulti's eyes turn white and she falls to the ground.

Hera is revealed, she is also a thunder cloud and is drawn a bit differently from Zeus (her lines are more curvy like Wanokuni clouds). Napoleon and Prometheus are very happy, they say unlike Zeus, Hera is very in sync with them. Zeus could never pull off a combined attack like the one they did now.

It is revealed too that Prometheus asked Big Mom to give him a girlfriend. But Hera doesn't care about Prometheus or Napoleon, she only obeys Big Mom. Nami sees Zeus hiding in a corner but she refuses to look at him since she's still angry. Big Mom notices Zeus, he apologizes to her and says he's happy to see new Homies joining the group.

Big Mom: "Zeus, I no longer requires you!!
Hera!! You can eat Zeus and become more powerful!!"

Hera bites Zeus and starts eating him. Prometheus and Napoleon talk about how Zeus let Big Mom fall to her death and how his stupidity slow them down again and again.

Big Mom pulls Tama away from Ussop. Big Mom says Tama that the Straw Hats are bad pirates and she shouldn't be with them. Zeus is crying and apologizing to Nami. Zeus says no one is kind to him like Nami is. But he's a coward so he can't refuse Big Mom's orders.

Zeus: "It's fine if you don't forgive me, Nami! I understand!!
But now, for the first and last time in my life, I'm going to rebel against Mom!
And I want you see me, Nami!!!"

Zeus then turns into a black thunder cloud and attacks Big Mom. However, Big Mom easily squashes Zeus with one hand. Big Mom then starts pulling Zeus' soul away from him.

Nami feels pity for Zeus so she shoots black balls at him, telling Zeus to eat them and gets away. But Zeus is too weak, so he can't reach the balls. Hera flies in and eat all black balls and Zeus too, giving her more power.

Tama tells Nami and Usopp to use this chance to run away from Big Mom so they all run away together. Big Mom gets angry when she notices Tama.

Big Mom: "Why are you running away from me Otama!?
I hate those that try to leave my side! I gotta kill them all!!"

Big Mom raises Napoleon and she's about to attack Nami, Usopp and Tama all together. But Kid appears and stops Napoleon. Then he grabs Big Mom's head with his huge metal hand and throws her head to the ground.

Kid: "Punk Gibson!!!"

Big Mom: "...!!
Kid..."

Kid: "Go away Strawhats!
She is my prey!!!"

Kaidou's subordinates: "Oh! "Captain" Kid~~~!!!"

Cut to Onigashima's rooftop. Kaidou in human form is standing alone, panting.

Kaido: "I knew it would end like this right from the beginning... Hah.
You are just a brat who obtains a powerful weapon and went ahead of yourself.
Human doesn't abandon hope. No, they are unable to abandon hope. Hah.
That's what makes thing troublesome for me.
I haven't gotten this fired up in a long time, so I made one mistake.
I should've cut your head and "declare my victory".
At this rate, everyone will just continue to believe that you can win against me..."

In a final epic spread we see Luffy, unconscious, falling in midair. Onigashima is floating far away above him...

Chapter 1,014: "Life's Lousy Actor".

In the cover, Law is reading a riddle ("Try and catch a tiger in the painting") while the tiger painting is coming to life behind him.

Chapter starts with Kaidou. He says that Luffy may be able to cover himself with "Color of the Supreme King" Haki, but he still can't use it well enough. Luffy falls into the sea.

Kaidou: “”Gomu Gomu no”… and what? Wororororo…!!
So you too are unable to become “Joy Boy”…"

 
Bao Huang reports to Kaidou that Momonosuke has been found. Kaidou tells Bao Huang that he will head there immediately, and tells her too to make an announcement to everyone in the island.

Cut to the 3rd floor, Yamato is running and fighting with Kaidou's subordinates. Cut to the 1st floor roof. Momonosuke is reading Oden's journal and talks with Shinobu.

Momonosuke: "Shinobu, it seems that I absolutely must not die...!!"

Shinobu: "What are you talking about!? Of course you can't die, Momonosuke-sama!!"

Momonosuke suddenly hears some voices which gives him headache, he shouts.

Momonosuke: "What's happening!? Who is this!!?"

Cut to the “Live Floor”, Chopper is fighting Queen. Chopper grabs Queen’s neck and throws him to the ground but Queen is doing fine and laughing while Chopper is getting tired. Chopper and some samurais have some arrows in his back, it seems Perospero shot them.

Chopper doesn't have much time left in his Monster Point form. He thinks to himself that he has around 10 minutes left. Chopper regrets too not being able to hurt Queen despite he already is extending his Monster Point form.

Little flashback to when Chopper was on the Thousand Sunny with Ceasar. Ceasar checks Chopper's Rumble Balls and laughs that they can only transforms him for 3 minutes.

Ceasar: "If you incorporate my formula, you can extend up your transformation to 30 minutes.
Of course it comes with a risk, but you won't be afraid of that, right?"

Flashback ends. Queen uses a new attack called “Black Coffee” (ブラック光火 - Black Light Flame), the same laser beam from his mouth that he used against Marco. Chopper avoids it. Perospero prepares more arrows.

Bao Huang makes Kaidou's announcement. She says Luffy and the Red Scabbards are all defeated by Kaidou. In a great double page we can see reactions from around the island. We see Marco, Franky Shougun, Jinbe (he's fighting Who's Who in human form with punches and kicks), Hyougorou, Nami, Tama, Usopp, Robin, Brook, Sanji and Zoro. The Straw Hat crew doesn't believe the announcement.

Kaidou transforms into dragon form and flies back down to the castle via the hole Big Mom made with "Fulgora" attack. Big Mom laughs at Kid when she heards the announcement, but Kid says that idiot has nothing to do with me. Law seems stressed and worried.

Back to the 1st floor roof. Kanjuurou discovers the stairs to the 1st floor roof. Kiku and Kinemon reaches Momonosuke and Shinobu. Momonosuke is still in pain. Shinobu notices a Mary frog watching them, so now Kaidou's men know where they are.

Momonosuke: "Kinemon... I have to... tell everyone..."

Kanjuurou appears disguised as Oden again. Shinobu is in shock, Momonosuke cries becouse he thinks that guy is his real father. Kiku attacks him.

Kiku: "You can't fool me again this time!!
Everyone already sees through it!”

But in the last second Kanjuurou replies her (with Oden's face).

Kanjuurou: "Can you really do it, Kiku? I was the one who raised you and Izou, remembers?"

Kiku's hand trembles for a second and Kanjuurou stabs her. Kiku apologizes to Kinemon.

Kiku: "Sorry, Kinemon...
Since the lingering snow is melting away, the dawn must be near…”

Kinemon is enraged and cuts down Kanjuurou with one attack (this double page is amazing). Kanjuurou laughs.

Kanjuurou: "It's fitting that you be the one that close the curtain...
Since, on the stage, you and me were the closest friends!!"

With tears in his eyes, Kanjuurou falls to the ground, seemingly dead.

Suddenly Kaidou bursts into the room. Shinobu takes Momonosuke away while Kinemon stands and blocks Kaidou with his swords. In the final double spread Kinemon takes Kaidou's kanabo attack (Kaidou uses "Color of the Supreme King" Haki in the kanabo). One of Kinemon swords breaks, we can’t see what happened with him. Momonosuke cries while Shinobu gets away from Kaidou…

Momonosuke: “Kinemon…!!!”

At the end of the chapter, we can see that Onigashima finally reaches Wanokuni mainland..

In the cover, Señor Pink is being carried like a baby by a stork.

Chapter starts with Luffy sinking in the sea. Cut at the “Live Floor”, Chopper is being bitten by Queen. Chopper is crying after hearing the Luffy lost, we also see the reactions of samurai and the minks. All of them are shocked and begin to lose the will to fight. Briscola mocks of them, saying Kaidou is too strong.

Cut to Sanji’s group with Zoro, Izou and Kawamatsu. While Sanji is swinging Zoro around to hit Kaidou’s men, Izou and Kawamatsu mention how the information is successfully discouraging their side although they have no idea whether it’s true or not.

Cut back to the “Live Floor”, Queen says he’s done playing with Chopper. Perospero uses a new attack called "Candy Shower" (kanji is "Shumatsu no Ame" (Ending Rain)) shooting a huge amount of candy arrows at everyone in the room.

Queen attacks Chopper at the same time. Some sharp mechanical fangs grows from Queen's teeth. Suddenly, Sanji enters and kicks Queen’s face with his "Diable Jambe", breaking all the fangs in Queen's mouth.

In an amazing double page, Sanji uses a new attack called “Rotisserie” to spin Queen’s neck around his body. This spin blocks all of Perospero’s arrows (that now hurt Queen) and finally Queen hits Perospero unintentionally, blowing him away.

Sanji complements Chopper for holding himself against Queen until now. Chopper is crying that Luffy loses.

Sanji: "Stop crying idiot! You don’t remember how many times we saw the “miracles” happened?"

Sanji then gives Zoro to Chopper (well, Sanji kicks Zoro to Chopper).

Sanji: "When this guy will be healed, he might worth around 10 men."

Zoro wakes up after listen Sanji.

Zoro: "I worth for 2,000 men!!"

Sanji: "Leave this dinosaur to me."

Queen: "Judge’s son!!"

People are confused why Sanji hasn’t lost the will to fight.

Marco: "That’s why I like you guys!!"

Cut to the 1st floor roof, we can see Kiku and Kanjuurou in the ground. Momonosuke and Shinobu are running away. Kaidou is about to follow them but he’s stabbed in the leg by Kinemon, whose head is all bloodied.

Flashback to when Kinemon decided he has to act as Momonosuke’s father to conceal his true identity. We can see he had troubles saying Momonosuke’s name without adding "-sama" at the end (Raizou laughed at him). But they both practiced together until they can casually call each other "father" and "son".

Back to the present. Kaidou asks Kinemon what is the point of this struggling. He should just accept his defeat and die like a warrior. Kaidou then grabs a katana (it seems is Kiku's sword or the one that fake Oden used to stab Kiku) and stabs Kinemon, piercing his back and his abdomen.

Cut to Momonosuke, he is carrying the frog "Mary" from last chapter with him. It is revealed that the voice Momonosuke heard was Luffy’s voice, and Luffy asked him to tell everyone something. Momonosuke then uses the frog to broadcast his voice around Onigashima.

Momonosuke: "This is Momonosuke! I am relaying Luffy’s message to you all.
Luffy is still alive and he said he will definitely come back!! So please keep on fighting!
I know it’s hard and painful but please fight!!"

As Momonosuke says these words, we see the reaction of some characters when hearing him. We see Hyo with one of the Yakuza bosses, Yamato, Raizou fighting Fukurokuju and Jinbe smiling. We also see that Luffy talked to Momonosuke unconsciously while he was sinking, becouse his eyes are shaded in black. Momonosuke ends.

Momonosuke: "Luffy will definitely win!!!"

After Momonosuke's final words, we see in another impressive double page how all the samurais and their allies regain their will to fight (and Sanji fighting Queen in the background). We see Franky smiling, Chopper crying with joy, Brook and Robin confident in their fight, and Kid smiling too. We also see Who's Who angry and King looking at everyone.

Kaidou catches up with Momonosuke and Shinobu and corners them against the rocks at the edge of the island. Shinobu uses her "Juku Juku no Jutsu" and destroys the rocks, causing both her and Momonosuke to fall off the island while Kaidou watches them.

Cut now to the sea, Luffy was founded by Law's crew. It seems they also hear Luffy's voice so that's why they manage to find him.

Cut to Nami, Usopp, and Tama, they are running down a castle hallway. Nami observes her Clima-Tact, we see that a face has appeared in the center of the weapon and starts talking to her. The face is Zeus' face, who has somehow survived Big Mom and now has "fused" with Nami's Clima-Tact.

Cut to Big Mom Vs. Kid, Law arrives before Kid and Big Mom. Law says that after he's been with Luffy for a long time, strangely he now feels that they can count on Luffy to do something.

Kid: "Trafalgar!! Are you getting in my way!!?"

Law: "Grow up, Eustass-ya... Let's start a temporary alliance!!"

Cut to Kaidou, he's still outside of Onigashima's dome. Suddenly, Yamato appears on top of the dome and shouts down at Kaidou.

Yamato: "Kaidou!!"

Kaidou: "You are supposed to call me "father", Yamato...!!"

Yamato: "I'm here to cut my bond with you!!!"

Chapter 1,016: "It's Otama!!".

In the cover, ninja Zoro and ninja cat are hiding in the ceiling and they almost getting pierced by spears from below.

Chapter starts at the “Flower Capital”. We can see that Tengu Hitetsu is walking in the “Fire Festival” with Toko. Hitetsu explains how the “Fire Festival” is held for the dead. Toko asks whether her father is watching the festival too and Hitetsu says yes, Yasuie is watching over them and the future of Wanokuni as well.

Cut to CP0, they are analyzing the battle in Onigashima. Numbers was 24,000 from Kaidou's side Vs. 3,000 from samurai's side, but since the Pleasures and Waiters at the “Main Hall” switched their side, the numbers are now 20,000 warriors in Kaidou's side Vs. 7,000 warriors in samurai's side.

CP0 is surprised that the situation is becoming more and more unpredictable, then they receive information that Momonosuke has fallen off the island. If this information is announced, everything will fall in Kaidou's favor again.

Cut to Bao Huang, she prepares to make another announcement to all Onigashima.

Cut now to Nami, Usopp, Tama group. When the Clima-Tact starts talking, Usopp says maybe he's a genius and designed it this way by accident. Zeus explains that when he and then tip of Clima-Tact were bitten by Hera, his soul was pushed into the Clima-Tact. So now he is reborn in the weapon and the Clima-Tact can talk and change its shape by itself.

They finally reach the balcony at the Main Stage and see Bao Huang about to make the announcement. But suddenly, Usopp is knocked down by Ulti, who has been following them. Ulti catches Tama in her hand.

Nami attacks Ulti. Suddenly her Clima-Tact changes shape into spiked ball and hits Ulti's head. Zeus explains that Ulti's skin may be tough but her insides is in bad shape because of Big Mom's attack. If they manage to hit her with Big Mom's "Raitei" (Thunder) one more time, it should be enough to finish Ulti off.

But Nami can't use it because Tama is still in Ulti's hand. Suddenly, Usopp shoots his “Midori Boshi: Sargasso” (Green Star: Sargasso) at Ulti, which immediately grows and makes her let go of Tama by surprise.

Nami produces Zeus in cloud form again, but he says he isn't Zeus anymore so Nami should give him a new name.

Nami: "It's yur turn, "Wata" (Cotton)!!"

Apparently, the name is so lame that Zeus immediately ignores it.

Zeus: "I am Zeus! Nami's right hand!! Prepare yourself!!"

Nami then uses "Raitei" (Thunder) to attack her but Ulti manages to dodge it. However Zeus controls the lighting to follow Ulti and hit her at full force. Ulti falls to the ground.

Bao Huang is shocked and screams how Ulti and Page One are both defeated without realizing that her announcement mode is still on, so the whole island hears it. Usopp realizes Boa Huang's ability so he uses his “Midori Boshi: Devil” (Green Star: Devil) to catch her and tells Tama to make an announcement to the entire island.

Tama: "Thi....This is Tama!!"

Cut to Kaidou and Yamato. Kaidou flies up to the top of the dome in dragon form, then he changes to hybrid form. Kaidou mocks Yamato saying that both Luffy and Momonosuke are dead and Yamato can't protect them. Kaidou then asks if Yamato is planning to run away now that got rid of the handcuff.

Yamato: "I'm going out to the sea with Luffy! But before that we will kick you out of Wanokuni first!!"

Kaidou says he doesn't randomly chooses where he wants to stay. He chooses to stay here because it's Wanokuni.

Kaidou: "You have no chance of winning against me. Become the Shogun of Wanokuni, Yamato!!"

Yamato: "I know I can't win against you, but Luffy is the man Kouzuki Oden is waiting for! I will hold you back until he returns!!"

Kaidou: "Don't think I'm gonna go easy on you, Yamato!!"

Kaidou attacks, Yamato attacks too. Their kanabo clash and there is black thunder exploding from the impact...

In the cover, Buggy turns his body into blocks puzzle and plays with a chimpanzee.

Chapter starts in the “Live Floor”, where Tama is about to give an order. However Queen shouts at her, and she becomes so scared that she faints and falls over.

Cut to the 4th Floor. One of the cat girls from Who's Who group shoots Jinbe while Who's Who laughs at him out loud. Due to constant interruptions from Who's Who's subordinates, Jinbe is unable to hold a 1 Vs. 1 fight against Who's Who. The same thing happens to Franky with Sasaki and to Inuarashi with Jack, they cannot fight in conditions because other Kaidou's subordinates attack them constantly.

Back to the “Live Floor”, Tama regains her sense while Nami and Usopp are cheering her. Tama musters enough courage to give an order.

Tama: "All Gifters who have eaten the kibidango...
I command you to help Luffy-aniki and Momonosuke-kun!!
Let's bring down Kaidou!!!"

While Tama talks, we see the Heart Pirates saved Luffy and now they are pumping water out of him. We can see too that Momonosuke is crying for Kinemon and Kiku in Shinobu's arms.

Following Tama's order, we see Gifters start to switch sides. Briscola, who was attacking the samurai, turns around and begins to attack Kaidou's subordinates who were accompany him. We see several more Gifters (like Hamlet) attacking his ex-teammates.

Tama's order has reached all Onigashima. We see the Gifters who were with Jack also began to attack other Kaidou's subordinates while Jack looks angry and Inuarashi is relief. The same happens on the 4th floor, we see that Poker (the user of Rattlesnake SMILE) is attacking Who's Who subordinates

The CP0 are confused since they dont' know what is happening. The Gifters who flooded into the “Live Floor” to help Queen also switch side.

Queen realizes this is Tama's doing so he prepares a beam to shoot at her. Nami and Usopp escape with Tama and Sanji kicks Queen's head with his “Collier Strike” making Queen's beam explode in his mouth.

Queen: "Damn, is "Judge's son"!!"

Sanji: "Never call me that again!!
Are you part of that crazy research team too?"

Queen: "Are you talking about “MADS”!? That's all in the past now!!"

As he speaks, Queen transforms into his hybrid form. His body is roughly the same size as his human form, although he has a long neck and maintains his robotic tail (he now has a 3-hook "claw" on the tip). His right arm holds the human form (he has a sword in his hand) and his robotic arm's hand has another 3-hook "claw" like the one at the tip of his tail.

Cut to Chopper and Zoro. Due to new Rumble Ball's side effects, Chopper has been dwarfed. He has now the size of a baby (in fact, Tristan is holding him in the palm of her hands) and the samurai helmet he was wearing almost covers his entire body lol However, that is not the only side effect. Despite the fact that he has now the body of a baby, Chopper talks like an old man. This new Chopper's form is officially called "Babyjiji Chopper" (Old man baby Chopper).

Miyagi (the goat doctor) says there's a super recovery medicine they use in Zou. It can heal Zoro's body for a period of time but after the effect wears off, the pain will be doubled.

Zoro: "There's no time to think now.
Just give that drug to me!!"

Cut again to the 4th floor, Jinbe finally is fighting Who's Who 1 on 1. Who's Who draws his katana (that actually is a dagger) and uses it to attack Jinbe with “Hagan” (Knife Gun) that is like CP9's Shigan but using a knife instead a finger. Jinbe counters it with “Gyojin Karate: Karakusa Gawara Sei Ken”.

Who's Who uses “Soru” to avoid Jinbe's attack and then uses “Rankyaku” but Jinbe blocks it with armament Haki. Jinbe recognizes that Who's Who is using “Rokushiki”, which is a combat style the World Government uses to train its fighters. While Jinbe talks, Who's Who transforms into his hybrid form.

Jinbe: "I remember now.
Some time ago there was a rumor that one member of CP9 broke out of prison.
I thought it was curious that the Government's agent was arrested."

Who's Who: "Hahaha! So you remember it!
Yeah that's me!! I once saw you tho you didn't know me!!"

Who's Who was once one of the strongest agents, rivaling the genius Rob Lucci. But 12 years ago because of one "failure", he was thrown in prison. Who's Who then attacks Jinbe with “Gagan” (Fang Gun) using his teeth to send a shockwave. But Jinbe dodges it.

Jinbe: "I pity you for that. But it seems there's no grudge between us then!!"

Who's Who replies that no, but Jinbe proudly declares himself as a Straw Hat Pirate and just hearing that name pains Who's Who.

Who's Who: "12 years ago, an Akuma no Mi under the Government's protection was robbed during transport.
2 years ago, when Straw Hat Luffy started to emerge, I was shocked...
Because he has eaten the “Gomu Gomu no Mi” that was taken from us at that time!!!"

Chapter 1,021: "Demonio".

In the cover, Franky and Señor Pink are crying in a bar with a leopard bartender (that is crying too) while have a drink.

Chapter starts with the battle between Robin and Black Maria, at the point where we left off in the previous chapter. Black Maria comments Robin that her giant form must have consumed lots of energy, Robin says not to worry because this battle will be over soon.

Robin uses a new attack called “Sea Serpent” (Sea Dragon Flower - 海竜花) sending her giant arms slithering like snakes to grab Black Maria's legs. However, Black Maria uses the spiky tip of her weapon to attack Robin's arm. Black Maria then realizes that the damage will hit Robin's main body as well, so she keeps damaging the giant arms to damage Robin.

Black Maria uses the tips of her legs, which have poison needles, to injure the giant arms as well, so Robin has no choice but to retract his arms back to avoid them. At that moment, Black Maria uses a new attack called “Maria Net” (マリア ネット) to launch her spider webs and grabs Robin's giant arms. She then uses another new attack called “Oshizumaria” (Binding Maria - お静マリア) to cross the main arms of Robin's giant body and render her body defenseless.

Black Maria puts on her metal knuckles and starts punching the giant Robin's face with her attack “Oiran Knuckle” (花魁 ナックル). The hits affect the original Robin, who in the end, has to vanish the giant Robin. Then Robin creates 4 giant arms behind Black Maria and tries to grab her but Black Maria uses her technique “Ikitomaria” (Dead End Maria - 行き止マリア) to create a wall of spider webs and block Robin's attack.

Next, Black Maria asks her spider to burn the spider webs that she has created in the area. The spider spits fire from its mouth with the technique “Atatamaria” (Flaming Maria - 炎上マリア) and sets the webs on fire, creating a flame wall in the area. Black Maria mocks Robin.

Black Maria: "I think you should try and bloom somethng in this place,
although I think no flower can bloom in the middle of the sea of flames ♥"

As she talks, Black Maria creates spider webs behind Robin, which she sticks to.

Black Maria: "In the end, you couldn't finish this fight quickly as you said ...
You had come to cover Black Leg's failure, and now that you have lost,
you both will just look stupid!! Ufufufufu ♥
Why don't you tell the skeleton to put out the fire again!?"

Brook, who was listening the conversation, answers quickly.

Brook: "What a stupid thing to say, Black Maria-san.
If I were you, I would get away from there as soon as possible...!!
Yohohoho."

Black Maria continues to punch Robin's real body, who is still caught in the net.

Black Maria: "You are merely a tool, Nico Robin!!
Your brain is the only thing valuable you have!!
So you don't need your arms or your legs...
not even your personality!!"

A small flashback begins in which Nico Robin thinks back to the time she was with the Revolutionary Army. Koala and Sabo want to teach her how to fight since they won't be able to protect her after she leaves. Koala offers to teach her the “Gyojin Karate” while Sabo offers to teach her the “Ryuusouken” (Dragon's Claw Fist). Hack arrives and says Koala and Sabo to leave Robin alone since her joint lock is strong enough and she doesn't need protection.

Robin then tells Koala and Sabo that she might want to learn abit about how to use her "palms". Koala and Sabo happily agree to teach her. Robin thinks back to a few times she used her "palms" after timeskip (like when she used her “Gigantesco Mano” on the bottom of the sea to prevent the Sunny from crashing into some rocks) and thinks about how the lessons have been useful. Sabo taught her to look through the “core” of her target and Koala taught her “Gyojin Karate” secret move.

Robin regains her strength and uses a new attack called “Mil Fleur Gyojin Karate: Giganteum” (千紫万紅 魚人空手: 花葱) sending her giant palm to hit the ceiling and creating a shockwave (like “Gyojin Karate” punch) to destroy the entire ceiling. The rubbles that fall down put out the fire and destroy Black Maria's web.

Robin then uses a new technique called “Demonio Fleur” (悪魔咲き) transforming her giant body into a black demon with bat wings, horns and fangs (maybe her body is black because she uses Color of Arms Haki?). Black Maria is shocked and screams.

Black Maria: "Demon!?"

Robin: "I have no problem with becoming a demon.
Since there are people who make me feel needed...!!
And people who willingly rely on me for help!!"

As she speaks, Robin creates more arms around Black Maria to grab her.

Robin: "You said arms and legs aren't needed, right?
“Gran Jacuzzi Clutch” (大渦潮 クラッチ)!!!"

Black Maria: "Aaaaaaaaaah!!!"

In an impressive double page, Nico Robin in her giant demon form clutches Black Maria's body until she is KO'd and bleeding from her mouth. Hearing the screams, Black Maria's subordinates try to see what happens but Brook's created an ice wall so that they cannot pass to the other area of the room. In a small hole in the wall, they see Black Maria unconscious on the ground and Robin's demon form.

Black Maria's subordinates: "Demon!?"

The ice wall begins to break apart, but before Black Maria's subordinates can go to help her, Brook steps in front of them. In another great double page, Brook uses a new attack called “Phrase D'armes Orchestra” (フラーズ ダルム 管弦楽) with which he attacks them with an icy cut in the shape of a G-clef, to defeat them.

Brook grabs Robin, who is injured, while a bird Mary is watching them...

Cut to Tokage Port in Wanokuni. Luffy is eating a month's supply that Caribou stored in his body. The Heart Pirates try to ask Luffy about the situation in Onigashima but Luffy is answering while he's eating, so they don't understand anyting.

Shinobu and Momonosuke have left the group for a moment to talk. Momonosuke is asking Shinobu to do something for him.

Shinobu: "I can't do that!!
If I do it you know there's no reverting back, right?
And your body may change but your heart will remain a child!!!"

Momonosuke: That's OK for me, as long as I have a chance of becoming a bigger dragon!!
Shinobu, please use your “Juku Juku no Jutsu” to turn me into an adult!!!"

End of chapter. Break next week becouse Weekly Shonen Jump magazine will be on holidays (no Jump chapters next week).
