- Now that the DK is gone, Escanor says everyone was waiting for it. Diane questions him if by everyone, he includes him too. Kind says let's not stay here and get home now.
- Escanor apologizes because he can't move. He has no regrets in his life and thanks everyone for meeting him.
- He thinks Gowther of being a great talking partner, wishes Diane and King happiness in their married life even though he can't attend the ceremony, tells Elizabeth to say hi to the king, Hendy and the others, has gratitude to Mael for being in his care till the end, tells Ban to tone down on booze, and thinks of Mel as his life savior and a peerless friend.
- And he tells Merlin he has loved her, not because she resembles Rosa. He says she reached out to him without distinction from anyone else.
- Merlin tells him not to oversell her, that she simply saw him as an intriguing study object. Escanor says that alone makes him happy, that if he could live in a corner of her heart...
- She says she was late to do anything, that she can't return anything. She adds that she would've liked him to find her earlier, if possible 3000 years ago.
- Escanor tells her whatever happens, he is her ally, whatever decision she makes, whatever sin she bears.
- Merlin wonders if he has noticed it, but Escanor says no, however ever since they met, she was looking sad.
- Diane notes something about his body, and Escanor says time's running out. He wishes everyone well and tells them to step back since it'll be dangerous. Meliodas tells him they'll see him off.
- He bids farewell to Melin only for her to walk up to him and kiss him to everyone's shock.
- She says she couldn't answer his feelings but she wants to burn on her the proof he lived, the mark of a man who loves her.
- Escanor then recites a poem before he disappears. Meliodas tells him to sleep well. END.
