-Gogojung is happy and eating with the new guy underground and Enzo.
Food arrives to this place because it was originally designed as regulars's accomodation.
The guy says he discovered this place with his companions during a sandstorm, then his companions left to go to the test while he stayed behind because he didn't get along well with them and was exhausted in many ways.
-Meanwhile, Aru is taking a bath, but the centipede-woman monster is looking at her from above the ceiling
-Urek wonders who is Eduan gonna target with his spear. Eduan throws the spear he created against Urek, while Latour jumps to attack him from the opposite side.
When Urek tries to block Eduan's spear, the spear's path bends and goes towards Latour, who avoids it.
Latour asks since when did Urek start to swing the other way and hang around with men, though he says it's to be expected since Urek is so bad at dating women. Urek rejects this idea vehemently.
Eduan says it's not like he particularly wants to help Urek, but he's a man who takes commitments seriously and wants to have his fight with Urek as soon as possible, that's why he wants to get rid of mr beard now.
-Urek and Latour exchange some blows and Latour says maybe because Urek has been dealing with only small fries recently, Urek's form is bad. Urek then hits Latour back with a punch and says "what are you saying? To me, you're a small fry too".
Eduan then throws a spear and secretly tells Urek to avoid it, so it only hits Latour.
Latour is surprised there is someone as strong as Eduan even inside this Tower.
-Mago then telepathically talks to Latour, asking him how long he's gonna continue enjoying himself instead of saving her, like he came here to do. Mago warns Latour Eduan is strong and she knows because she fought him herself. She tells him Latour can't win against both Urek and Eduan at the same time and that if they leave, Eduan and Urek will fight among themselves.
Latour: " "Running away" is not in my dictionary".
Mago: "Latour, don't you love me?
Latour: "Well then, can't fight against love"
and he runs away, grabbing nameless princess with a princess carry.
Eduan (and Garam with her gun) try attacking them while they're running, but Urek stops Eduan's attack because otherwise the princess would get hit too.
Eduan asks why he did that, Urek replies it's camaraderie and wonders if Eduan is allowed kill regulars.
Eduan doesn't buy the camaraderie thing, saying Urek has some special relationship he feels he has to protect despite saying Mago is his enemy.
Urek tells Eduan to think however he wants and then prepares to fight him.
-Meanwhile, Mago says that since Latour has regained this much power, somewhere else some "hellish kind of love" is taking place, since he's the "reversal of love".
Latour replies affermatively, then adds that even here he has witnessed a love that was both intoxicating and tragic, even though the people involved don't even know he exists. It's a love misdirected towards a centipede's shed/empty shell.
-Meanwhile, Rohan, Werner and Evelyn reach the entrance to the underground place, saying it's the safe place the Mayor found.
-At the end of the chapter we see the centipede monster descended on Aru's head and she's apparently lifeless in the tub, with blood coming out of her eyes.
